Epidemic: Necessary Citizen Response
As always, you should be familiar with the subject and share the information from ProjectArcix with your family.
Even though the notion of a pandemic is daunting and seems unpredictable, you can prepare for it now. As always, you should be familiar with the subject and share the information from ProjectArcix with your family.
Before a pandemic strikes, you can prepare by having a supply of water and food. Remember to have nonprescription drugs and health supplies such as pain relievers, vitamins, and cough and cold medicines. You can also involve yourself in your community as it plans for a pandemic.
You can also take simple steps to mitigate the spread of germs. Educate your children to wash their hands frequently with soap and water, cover coughs and sneezes with tissues, and to stay away from those who are sick. As adults, you need to perform these tasks both as precautionary measures and to serve as a model. If you are sick, then you should remember to be considerate of others and stay home.
If you are staying at home, you should make sure you have a supply of food and water as well as medical and emergency supplies. These supplies include but are not limited to soap, medicines, thermometer, anti-diarrheal medicine, vitamins, flashlight, batteries, portable radio, and tissues.
