Twin F4 tornados ripped through this region and killed 455 people, injured approximately 2300 and leveled nearly 200 houses.
1947 Texas, USA
A family of tornados ripped through the upper portion of the state with an F5 tornado completely razing the town of Glazier to such a degree that it was never rebuilt. Nearly 1000 were injured.
1953 Texas, USA
This F5 tornado struck the city of Waco causing over $41 million in damages.
1965 Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Indiana, and Ohio, USA
A cluster of 48 tornados flew through the region, killing 271 people and causing over $200 million in damages.
1974 South / Midwest USA
148 tornados struck this region of the US in only 2 days causing $600 million in damages.
1979 Kansas, USA
USA- As one of the most destructive in history, this tornado destroyed over 3000 homes and left 20,000 homeless.
